Necklace love: Porcupine quills.

I can't fully endorse this necklace until I know that the quills were harvested humanely (I know, I'm a fucking hippie). Let's assume that the quills came in bulk from a veterinarian- courtesy of some idiot fashionista's over-curious Yorkie. In which case, we can thoroughly enjoy the hardcore beauty of this piece. Rock.

  1. When I was about six or seven, I found a porcupine waddling around at my grandpa's ranch in the Badlands. I followed it around for a long time, gently tapping it with a long stick to collect quills (hello, parental supervision?). I didn't hurt it, but I'm sure it was annoyed as hell.

  2. I'm one of the designer of K/LLER COLLECTION and porcupines shed their quills naturally, like we do hair, a few at a time. So it's totally humane! The quills we use are from the African Crested Porcupine.
    Thanks for the love!
